This is urgent for us

Hi,

We talked to PayPal for over an hour and they said that the subscription code we are using works properly.
They couldn't figure out where the problem lies and they asked us several email address of users trying to subscribe.
They said they couldn't find a pattern and said that will help them

Please send us several emails address of the users trying to subscribe.

You can do that by using the CONTACT form or write us at support@cmsjunkie.com.

Thank you

Recently, I also have this problem. My website & this paypal subscription extension has been running fine for two years and now my customers are getting that very message. This Transaction cannot be completed. Please help!

We are receiving the same issue. This has only been happening, to my knowledge, since February 1, 2012. Up until then, for the last year, it has worked fine. And actually, the email address I submitted to you via email was used successfully to test the site on January 24th for an unrelated issue.

Please keep us informed. Thank you.

Hi all,

We talked to PayPal and figured out why the subscriptions weren't working on our side.
They said they did modify something in their policies.
It seems that the PayPal account used for the subscription payment collections wasn't connected with a credit card or a bank account. This was generating the issue.
Although the account was verified it was missing financial information.

This is what we received from PayPal

Thank you for contacting PayPal's Merchant Technical Support team. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your questions.
As we discussed, this issue is caused by the Merchant Receiving Account not having any Financial Information associated. Simply add a Bank Account or Credit Card account to resolve the issue.
If you have further questions or updates to this issue, please feel free to contact me again. To do so, please follow the response directions located near the start of this message.

Thank you,

As far as we understand this kind of issue is generated by the Merchant Receiving Account. If you're still experiencing issues please call PayPal and give them as example your website along with your merchant account. They'll look into it.

Let us know if this works out for you.

This does not help the issue I am having. Both my account and my clients account have a Bank Account assocaited with the PayPal Account.

I am still having the same issue.

Hi Mike,

Our best advise would be to call PayPal and ask them why is this happening.
Last time we talked to them they told us the code looks fine and if you get after the point you login then there is a problem with the account receiving the payment.

This does not help in our case also.

User and system both accounts have valid credit card and bank account.

Can you please confirm that you as paypal subscription pro team are able to test transactions from your server since this is definetly not working for us and broken for us.

Hi Sudhir,

We can confirm that subscription work on our side.

Hi everybody,

We noticed that if you want to subscribe to the same subscription twice and it will give that issue.
Please change the subscription name if you already subscribed to it.
This seems to have changed recently.

So are we saying that once someone has signed up to a subscription - it cant be signed up for again by anyone else unless the name of the subscription gets changed?

This seems crazy?

That certainly seems to be what I am finding - i was testing the subscriptions - and the were not working - I changed the name - it worked once - when I tried it again as a different user i got transaction failed.

Do you guys know more about this?

I found the issue and a solution. It is not the name of the subscription.

Paypal changed the invoice parameter. It is still optional but if you enter a value for the invoice it is unique to that 1 individual user and can only be used once.

Solution: Change site.mgspaypalsubscriptions.html.php line 276

<input type="hidden" name="invoice" value="<?php echo $row->item_name; ?>">

The component sets the invoice value to the name of the subscription. Change it to

<input type="hidden" name="invoice" value="">

I kept the name the same and subscribed the same user successfully multiple times.

Thank you Alvin.

We've made the correction to the code.
If anyone else has issues please contact us and we'll send you the updated version.
We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused you.

Thank you,
