Joomla Templates - J-Network Template Setup instructions

Support Forum

I've just setup a fresh installation of the latest joomla. No problems.

I then installed J Business Directory. No problems.

I then installed the J-Network template. No problems.

I then installed SP Page Builder Pro. No problems.

I then ran the SQL file to create the SP Page Builder pages. No problems.

Homepage is not exactly the same as the demo example. I realise that there wont be any images and this is ok, but for example I dont have a search box on the homepage? I had to manually go and select the module, but it is only showing a search button, no input box.

Also the homepage slider example is very much broken and not working as expected.

You can see the demo site here

Hi,

You will have to create a JBusinessDirectory Listing Search module and configure it depending on your needs. You need to make sure that the keyword and zip code are set to show. After that, you can set the module on the SP Page Builder page.

For the home slider, you will need to edit the slider module and add the slides that you need. Then you have to set the module on the SP Page Builder page.

Hi,

Since this seems to be a new website we recommend to install the quickstart . This will provide the same setup like on our demo.

Thank you for the reply.

I have now installed the quickstart Joomla Business Directory and then installed the J-Network template and then ran the sql file on the database.

I still do not get the same result with the layout.

Also when I enable the JBusinessDirectory Listing Search module the style is not the same as the one in the template. I think a css class should be applied but I dont know which. The documentation suggests that it should look the same already.

I would expect that when purchasing a template and applying sql update on the database, everything should be as expected with very little configuring, or at least clear instruction on what modules to create and what css classes to apply.

Hi,

After you install the quickstart you should have the same setup like we have on the demo site.
Please make sure that you are using the right quickstart. We have sent you again the quickstart download link by email.

Hi Milo,

Yes a quickstart with the template and SP Pagebuilder Pro should be exactly the same as show case so if something wrong you have the wrong quickstart package. Problem could be with hosting sometimes otherwise this is a quick way to get going.

I also recommend you if you are new to Joomla to use advance module manager then you can do alot of customisation for controlling modules https://www.regularlabs.com/extensions/advancedmodulemanager and use Akeeba for regular backups https://www.akeebabackup.com/products/akeeba-backup.html etc

Good luck!
