Support Forum

I have recently purchased Paypal subscription pro and is working as expected.

But I have two additional requirements

a) I am using this to manage subscription for a Journal we print. After succesful payment of subscription amount I need to give access to users to download the PDF copy of Journal. How do I achieve this

b) Can I pass some special optional fields to Paypal from Paypal Subscription Pro

HI Sudhir,

Upon subscription users are assigned to user access group : Registered, Author ,etc. You can set the user access group when you define your subscription plan.
From there there are couple joomla extesions that restrict access to certain resources based on the user's access group. You can have a look at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/content-restriction to see what suits you the best.

There is also a module called metamod who restricts access to module content based on the user access group.

You can use a plugin that restricts article content based on the user access group http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/content-restriction/4761
After you install the plugin you can use it in an article as follows:

{accesstext mode="level" level="registered"}

Message to authorized users.||Message to non authorized users.

{/accesstext}

You can customize the message above as you wish. One is for authorized users and the other for non authorized users.
