J-BusinessDirectory - about jbd optimization, some suggestions

Hi friends. Now i plan to make new directory project and i understand that JBD does not fit at all because of bulky skripts .

Please look at this Latvian business directory. How  is made company cards.

1. Map opens in new url.

2. Images opens in new url.

on company card is only image thumbnails.

3. Reviews opens in new url.

So all scripts what make page bulky is in other url and not laoded in company card. The same with images.

P.S And please remove that backgroun image in company card.

I dont understand what you talking about regarding "bulky spirits".

The page you aiming at is this one: ; it load all images and also maps there already too, have nothing to do with optimisaiton, so what optimise are you talking about?

There is extra tabs for open maps, images in your example for extra new urls and JBD also have some level views with tabs too example http://demo.cmsjunkie.com/j-businessdirectory/templates.php?template=j-network  

Explain a little bit more what your optimisation is about and then I maybe understand bcs as now its not clear at all what you mean bcs this has nothing to do with optimisation to do at all.

Have you hit in chrome f12 and network tab? Clearly there is only 45 http requests on company card but jbd have 160 on default demo comany card on complitely new joomla instalation.

So i clearly know what i am toalking about. 

In sample url  map opens in new url, on comany card there is only screenshoot of map the same with images. Please look once more.

160 http requests... I havenot seen this before.

Hi,

Due to continuous development and improvements, some of the pages load a high number of external libraries.
It is already planned to optimize all libraries based on the view type that is being loaded.
This optimization will be performed on 5.3.0 version that will be out in 2-3 weeks from now.

HI George Bara, thanks for good news. this would be huge improvement.

I see stuff already made improvements in style 5 removing social sharing and views count to the block with breadcrumbs thus improving header visability.

Also i see you added style 7 which is almost perfect, but there is not a company logo. If you could add a logo to style 7 it would be perfect style. 

regarding 5.3 and optimization - this is good news - I'm really looking forward to some page optimization. In particular the listing details page is very slow and loading a lot of stuff either not required or not required based on the features turned on/off.

E.g. if a directory site is offering videos/images to be included with the package they sign up for, but the business owner decides not to upload any, the associated css & js (e.g. for the carousel) should not be loaded.

Hi George Bara just if you can please do not remove map screenshoot from styles but instead add link so cliking on map image opens real map. In this way it will be much bettter, for page loading. So if customer needs to see map it kliks on screnshoot and opens it. Remember google uses page load speeds like seo factor.
