Dear CMS Team,
View years ago was request to look to plugin with AcyMailing, is there any progress.
There is an option to import direct from database table, but plugin would be nice.
I think will be very good idea to have the option to let handle AcyMailing (or other external providers) all the JBD mailings.
/Robert
Would be great. I agree. What kind of data do you import? I work with custom fields in acy so I can send mails with entries url for example via acy. But would be better some kind of a bridge from JBD to acy so any field from JBD can get inserted to a newsletter.
I use AcyMailing V6, so still waiting for some improvement :-)
Import a lot of information, but would like to see is dynamic, like views, etc
I use also in my mails personal links, for example, direct to listing.
Thanks for answer, yes I use and do the same. Some kind of dynamic plugin/bridge would be so great and of course this can be a paid plugin in my opinion, if not too expensive. Like putting a custom acy field into a newsletter, same with the jbd fields. I think this needs not much coding for development. Have a nice week.
Hi,
The integration with AcyMailing is still in our queue and it will be implemented based on availability.
+1 you can use similar plg like this one: https://www.acyba.com/component/updateme/download/plugin-jomclassifieds.html
Thanks but what we would need is to insert the shortcodes/placeholder tags like (or similar to) they are in the JBD email-templates into the acy mailing newsletter. Entry name [business_name], entry url, entry number of views and so on. So we can send not only to all business owners an email but to special business contacts or groups... At he moment the statistics Email can be used for this, but there is even not the option to send a test mail, and in ACYmailing you have many more features to have a control over eMails for/to business owners or better: contact email adresses. I want to send different mails to different business contacts with the JBD database fields inside. At the moment we do this with the acy custom fields, it works, but the custom fields (like clickable entry url) must be manually included and imported from a csv.
Sure and expect that will also boost JBD, the more 'interfaces' the better for the extension :-)
I hope CMSJunkie team can first look to have plugin and maybe in later stage able to send email templates using ACYMailing. ACYMailing still need to implement the system message from Joomla in V6
Second Suzanne, as also using ACYMailing as mini-CRM tool
/Robert
Let's do it Robert :-)
If I try it it alone I will be ready in 2031 and it won't work in that future JBD and acy mailing versions anmore...
Hi
I think this is an good idea and also have this integrated with JBD stats data.
I did a profile on a high respected business directory and there I got these update emails. With links directly to your stats dashboard.

Improve Your Stats |
While you won't get the same amount of exposure & leads with your current free profile as you would with XXX Premium, you can still improve your stats to better evaluate XXX's lead quality by adding FREE unlimited content and updating your company profile. |
Hi Robert
did you get anywhere with this integration and improvements?
Cheers!
I tried to find the message of @snobben, but unable to trace..
No progress of development from my side, but think the ball is in the hand of CMS Junkie. If they want JBD a success, they need to integrate with successful extensions...
/Robert
Ok maybe you should make a dev request with a support ticket for that.. cheers!
