J-BusinessDirectory - Add a business form Formatting

Support Forum

Hello,

At the moment Add a new business form is formatted so that it is located to the left of the screen leaving the right part of the screen empty. Where can I modify the formatting, so that the form is shifted to the middle of the screen, or possible is split into 2 columns to use space more efficiently?

Also, which file can I edit to possibly add or remove some of the fields/entries in the form?

Many thanks

Hi,

The layout of the form can be changed by overriding the css code. You can add the css code on the template level.

You can setup the fields of a business listings in general configuration of directory extension in business listing attributes tab.

Thank you! I will try to add the css code there.

As for business listing attributes tab, it allows to choose if an attribute is listed or if it is optional/mandatory, but it is impossible to add new attribute or to change the order of attributes in the form. Which file contains that information?

Thanks again!

Hi,

The order of business listings attributes can be changed only by modifying the code in file {joomla}/administrator/components/com_jbusinessdirectory/views/company/tmpl/edit.php.

You can add new attributes though custom fields section.

You must add first the custom attributes to the packages that you want (if packages are active).
