J-BusinessDirectory - Advice on how best to achieve a 3 directories in one!

Hi,

I am looking for advice on how best to achieve the following. i cater for a distinct community.

I want the 'appearance' on my site to have 3 distinct directories, namely 'food retailers', 'art & craft sellers' and 'resturants'. I dont want any of these to populate the other when viewers search the directory etc. I want to setup 3 menu items to match the above to be able to list only those types of business (that i can do no problem).

So my question is, how do i achieve the above with a search facility that will filter out the other two types of business in results and not show as an option?

and have i setup the directory correcly : I have setup the 3 items above  as 'Business Types' and then the various catergories are global as well, how can I limit the catergories to a specific business type?

I hope that made sense!

Hi,

You have to create 3 menu items on type Business Listings and for each menu item, you have to set the corresponding category.
For search facility, you will have to create 3 search modules and set the menu item id from each of the menu items created.

Thats makes sense. thank you.

is there a way to assign catrgories to a specific business 'type'. In other words, when a business selects a business type, only specific catergories assigned to that type will show up
