J-BusinessDirectory - Automatic or manual billing/upgrade notification

Pls can subscribers to Jbusiness directory version 2.8.1 trial and recurring packages automatically receive email requesting they upgrade package or do I have to do this manually? If yes, will invoice be automatically sent to them too or do I have to do this manually?

Usually, the recurring packages should be used only with recurring payment methods.
