J-BusinessDirectory - Can i hide a category field?

Hi,

When user are signing up for a listing they have to add category and sub-category.

In my case i do not use any sub-categories. Its either a lawyer or a terapeut. So when selected a category like Lawyer i dont want the user to have to select it again.

Is it possible to hide this second category field from the signup form ?

The categoires and subcategories are shown in the same place.
The second field on category section is main category which is used in some modules. It cannot be hidden.

Yes i know the categories and subcategories are shown in the same place. Thats why i would like to remove one of them.

It looks weird that the user has to fill inn two categories when they both are the same. Is it not possible in any way to hide one of them (by using css or remove it from a php file without messing up )

You can hide the categories field from general settigns/ business listing attributes tab. Set category to no show.

I know that, but that will hide both category fields.

Do you not understand my question? I would like to hide ONE of the fields.

You can hide them both or none by editing the setting on business listings attributes on general settings of extension.
