J-BusinessDirectory - curious about upgrading packages?

i was wondering if i had package A for $20 and company abc bought this package first and then decided to upgrade to package B for $40, would the system know that they had purchased package A for $20 and take that into account and pro-rate the upgrade and charge them accordingly or would company ABC be charged for the full $40 which means they paid $60 for their listing.

Please explain a little deeper how this works and what the cost would be for the upgrade.

Hi Tracy, 

Currently when the customer selects a package an order with the package price is generated. So the customer would pay the whole amount of the package even if there was another purchase before. We're not doing any pro-rating since the rate is time sensitive and subject to the merchant's approval.
