J-BusinessDirectory - Direct Link to category / Near Me without Zip Code

Hi,

Is there any way I can Link a menu Item directly to a Category/subcategory.

I can only find "Categories" in joomla Menu Manager under jBusinessDirectory options.

My Main Menu is Restaurant - Hotel - Shop.. So I need those items to link directly to their categories And they are Top catégories.

I tried to create a custom Menu Link with url like index.php?option=com_jbusinessdirectory&view=search&categoryId=75&Itemid= but Url rewriting is not working. How can I manage to get it work. Which URL Format do I need ti enter to get mysite.com/restaurant

Is there also a way I can Achieve "Near Me" functinality. I see that I can use geo-localisation when displaying Zip Code in search Module, But we don't have Zip code in our country. Can We do that by using City/region??

Hi,

Yes, you can link a menu item by creating an item of Business Listings type and choose the category you like.
We also provide a near me functionality. You have to click on circle icon on zip code search and turn on Geo location and set the radius higher than 0. It will detect the location automatically and search in the area delimited by radius. You can also filter by city and region if you activate the options from directory search module settings.

Thanks for your reply George, But I can't see where to link a Menu Item directly to a category of my directory. The only Option available for category is A menu item to show all categories in the page. I need to create a menu  that link directly to items in restaurant or shop category for example. Is that Possible?

Found the Issue.

I'm French and Use Joomla in French. That's Why I couldn't see Menu Item "Business Listing" in Menu type selection.
The translation for  Menu item "Business Listing" in french language is "Inscription d'affaires" which is wrong and mean " Add Bussiness "  litteraly in english and make me believe that it's the menu item to allow people to add their business.
I think I should send CMSJunkie a good and solid French translation file after completed my website :-)
