Hi,

Is there an option to change backend/frontend text editor plugin?

It looks tinyMCE is thte default editor.

If you are using the default Joomla system, you need to change the default editor here:

    > Joomla Admin Panel > Global Configuration > Site > Default Editor

You can also set the toolbar presets to simple, medium, or adance per User Group:

I am using JCE in the front end and backend.

I believe this is my setup:

   1. Frontend registered group editor = TinyMCE

   2. Frontend administrator group editor = JCE

   3. Backend Super User = JCE.

Please note, I could easily assign JCE for the Frontend users as well.

JCE can also be assigned to user groups.

 

Latest JCE editor pro works very well and this is std Joomla set up..
