J-BusinessDirectory - Gallery images need the cropping tool adding to stop various issues

At present gallery images aren't added via the cropping tool. This causes various issues, particularly when using search results template 7 and listing detail 3 (which are the two templates I am definitly wanting to utilize), such as:

1. If a gallery image has been added and it is a portrait one - then it is stretched and distored to fit the image placeholder on the search listings result (template 7). It doesn't look good. The logo image isn't used for the main search listing image in listing template 7.

2. If no gallery image uploaded, then no main image is displayed on search listing. The only image displayed is a tiny round logo image to the side (either a logo uploaded or the blank image under General Settings > Front End > Empty Image), but then this isn't positioned correctly. So enforcement of uploading at least one gallery image would be useful. And btw, I'm not able to upload a new 'empty image' for the logo. I'm not sure it is working.

3. The gallery images are no less important than the other images and adding via the cropping tool will also help deal with different image sizes and resolutions, as well as enforcing all images kept to landscape format.

I agree that there should be a cutout in the images in the gallery, to standardize. A clipping at least on her thumbnail in the gallery, when clicking to open, the image with the original aspect ratio may appear. I think this cut should be at the level of the proportion, be able to set which aspect ratio or a standard XY. I agree so much that it bothers me since I installed the extension, mainly in view7 (as you said).

About forcing at least 1 photo to the gallery, I don't see any advantage since the extension has to deal with different realities of several companies. If the developers want to add, I think there should be an option: "Minimum number of photos in the gallery: (0 = no minimum quantity, 1-X the quantity).

I see what you mean about the need to have an option re enforement of a gallery image upload - and let us hope that is included too.

The cropping tool has not been added for the gallery images since it might confuse the end user.
The images are automically resized based on the gallery settings.
We will try to enhance the mechanism.
