J-BusinessDirectory - How to define a site template

Support Forum

Hi

I am having an issue with the Business Directory category module. For some reason when I click on a category it loads the homepage site template rather than the default site template. If I click on the breadcrumb generated by the Business Directory then the default site template is used.

I have created a categories menu item in the hope that this would tell the category module which template to use but this has no effect. I also found an option in the settings where you can define a menu item id and assigned the default template to the menu, but this had no effect as well. How can I go about defining which site template the Business Directory uses?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

The problems that you're facing are not related to our directory extension. It seems that you have assigned a template to some menu items and you have also a default template. You have to go to manage templates extension, set the default template the one you like, and clear all the menu items for the previous template.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I have removed the one categories menu item that I had been created.

The default site template is set to the template which I want the business directory to use.

However the category module still links to the hompage template rather than the default site template.

The weird thing is that the breadcrumb that the business directory creates links to the default template? I would be nice if at least they loaded the same template.

I can't see any way to assign a specific template to the single category view. There is a categories menu item that allows me to assign a specific template to the categories view but not the single category view.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

If you are unsure of what is happenning can I give you access to the site?

Hi,

You can provide us joomla admin access (using contact form) and we will check this.
