J-BusinessDirectory - Image File Size Restriction

Is there a way to limit the file size for uploaded images?  It looks like the Restrict Image Size option only affects how big the picture is, not how big the file can be.  I've got a user trying to load images that range from 1 to 18 MB.  I'd like to limit the file size to something reasonable, like 1 or 2 MB.  Is that possible using any of the settings available in JBD?

I checked with my host, and they said it's possible to put size limits on the upload folder for images.  Does each profile have it's own folder, or is there one big one someplace?  I did look at the site files, but couldn't tell where JBD images are stored.

The limitation of the image size is being done by the image resolution. The lower the resolution, the lower the size.
You can set the image resolution in the directory general settings.

These are the options available for Images in General Settings.  Is it the resolution somewhere else?  Or should I be restricting the image size?

Yes, these are the settings. There are no other settings.
The images will be cropped at the set dimensions.
