What are the recommended sizes for the Business Logo and Background images?

I assume you are using Style 5:

Logo width 153px (x 153 px)

Cover Image width 1070px (x 275 px)

Height is a bit depending on the amount of information and size used in the header

For standard setting is the width between ()

I hope in future version, Cropping Yes/No can be set per image type.

For Cover Image nice to have cropping, but for logo prefer to offer without cropping..

Logo is used for sharing in social networks too. So it should not be too small else it will look very blurred on tablets for example in facebook app or on big smartphone displays. You'll find it as meta property="og:image" in source html code.

If your visitors will not use sharing option then the smaller the better for page speed, for example as Robert said. The best size for loading time always should be the size that it does not need to be resized via html. So you can check the (resized) size in your listing(s) view and choose that size for logo size too.

I assumed logo / cover image for listings.

For social use Open Graph (Sp Page Builder) and/or Twitter Card:

Page Options > Open Graph tab uses: Title, Image and Description field - this option adds Open Graph tags in HTML code of website.

  • Open Graph Title -  the title of your page without any branding such as your site name. In fact, if Facebook doesn’t find the og:title tag on your page, it uses the meta title instead. It’s best to stay between 50-90 characters.
  • Open Graph Image - the image that appears when someone shares the content to Facebook. Use a rectangle image in landscape orientation, as Facebook displays them in that matter. Use images that are at least 1200 x 630 pixels (aspect ratio of 1.91:1), for the best display on high resolution devices. At the minimum, you should use images that are 600 x 315 pixels to display link page posts with larger images. Good to know that the thumbnails for shared links display at 450px by 235px. The usually supported image forms are JPG, PNG and GIF. The picture you use as an Open Graph image can be different from what you have on your page.
  • Open Graph Description - a brief description of the content, usually between 2 and 4 sentences. This will displayed below the title of the post on Facebook. Unlike a regular meta description tag, it won’t affect your SEO.

Hi,

For the logo we recommend having at least 600px x 600px.
For gallery images, you should use at least 800px x 800px.

On mobile devices, if a low-resolution image is used, it will not look good.

I use 800x600px and I am satisfied with look on mobile devices and the listings social network share. Think of tablets like ipad too, where the logo is shown big (420px width in my case).

Thank you all!
