J-BusinessDirectory - iOS and Android APP

Much like thousands of other wordpress styled sites that developers have been able to tap into their databases with mobile apps (See http://codecanyon.net/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&term=wordpress&view=list&sort=&date=&category=mobile%2Fios&price_min=&price_max=&sales=&rating_min=)

Have anyone considered using this component as a basis for a mobile app?  My client now wants an app and rather than double entry all the data, it would be neat to utilise the same database.
