J-BusinessDirectory - JBD - Which payment integration - PayPal or Stripe

I need to make a decision whether to integrate PayPal or Stripe as a payment processor and would love to get some thoughts on which one would be better.

My requirements:

• - Handle recurring monthly payments (fully automated)
• - Custom (branded) page when they get passed over to the processor page to enter their credit card
• - Push back to dashboard after payment and status-switch to 'paid'
• - Automated recurring payments triggered by JBD.

Also, I am not sure what type of plugins I need to purchase: e.g. Stripe + Stripe Recurring (DO I NEED TO BUY BOTH?).

And what is your experience with PayPal/Stripe.

Last not least, my business is based in Canada, with most paying clients in the US, but I assume that shouldn't matter much?

All payments are done on the payment gateway site, there are no credit card data stored on the extension.
The user who initiates the payment is being redirected on the payment page, performed the payment and then redirected back to the thank you page. The payment is automatically performed.
For recurring payments you can use either PayPal or Stripe, there are no big differences.
For Stripe Subscriptions it is not required to buy also Stripe. Stripe is for one-time payment only.

The recurring payments are activated only by the recurring packages.
