J-BusinessDirectory - Languages

Hi,

I have just installed the directory to my site, and set the main language to french.

But the directory is still in english and the french or english language files for the front end are nowhere to be found.

I have the backend fr-FR.ini and english files, but not frontend.

I'm having a similar problem. Was this solved for you? I have added a new directory for Dutch language nl-NL to the language directory, with translations in the ini files. However, when I go to the Dutch section of my site (my site is bilingual English & Dutch), the Directory remains in English. The joomla output however is dutch, ie: I see that instead of "results" it states "resultaten", and instead of "page" it says "pagina". Therefore it appears that the language of the page is nl-NL, but that the directory does not adjust...

Furthermore, how to have the company categories in two languages? I've looked at my database, but there is no field to enter translations

The problem is caused by improper value of language tag. Even if the language site is set to French for example the language tag is still en-GB, showing the English version. One way to change the language tag is to activate language plugin and and language switcher module.

I have enabled the plugin 'System - Language filter', and the module 'Lanuguage Switcher'.

When I click on the flag which displays in the front end in the Language Switcher module, the joomla output is translated but the directory output is not.

ie it says Risultati instead of results (I am translating to Italian).

As S T said above, the joomla output is being translated and it appears that the language of the page is beng changed, but that the directory does not adjust.

The issue has been fixed and integrated in next version.

We changed the way the language is detected.

In components/com_jbusinessdirectory/jbusinessdirectoy.php replace

$language_tag     = JRequest::getVar( '_lang' );

with

$language = & JFactory::getLanguage();
$language_tag     = $language->getTag();

I am still wondering how to have the company categories in two languages? So now the directory interface is in two languages, but the company categories remain only in English. I've looked at my database, but there is no field to enter translations..

It is not possible to have multilanguage content. Only static texts are translated.

Please help me with these problems:

1. The language switcher module displays the flags in vertical position all the time. I must  use dropdown option and i don't want this.


2. I have 4 lang for the moment and when is clicked on Control panel menu from default language everything is ok...when i do this for the other 3 the main menu disappear ... it remains only offcanvas menu and the panel for login (displayed when you click control panel and you are not loged) ... after login, the menu is back for all 3 languages.

I have instaled 4.2.3 version...
4. I crashed the quickstart package when i played with him...but I found that sometimes , for no reason , when I scroll on the page ... main menu disappears.
Now, I make back-up after every successful task.

Questions:
Can you: 
1. Make google map automatically fill the longitude and latitude when the user enters data in fields related to the address (Country, Region, City, Street, Zipcode ... ) ?
2. When you add a company the form must be tabbed (or optional tabbed or one page)... as in the form that appears after selecting a membership package

Why?
This ussually appears when no order id and order email is entered. The expiration period is calculated based on this details.

The feature is already implemented. When entering the address in the autocomplete address fields all details are completed.

2. When you add a company the form must be tabbed (or optional tabbed or one page)... as in the form that appears after selecting a membership package
We provide 2 options for adding a business listing.

 a.  Using the package menu item. When a package is selected, after the user login or create an account, the completion of business listing data is done tabs.

 b. Using front-end control panel. The user is able to enter the business listing details in one page format. Every time the package is changed the fields of business listing are loaded based on the package features.
