J-BusinessDirectory - Make businesses choosable

I would like to make the companies selectable by a checkbox to be able to send a contact email. In a first step I just want to add a checkbox on each business

I know there is the quote request addon but I would like to be able to select the businesses in the list

Yes, would be create to have the option to select the listings to send RFQ / RFI. Can be selected from Search or maybe also bookmarks.

I still hope that the Quote Request Add-on will be more 'professional' or at least able to create your own forms.

Robert you can create different forms for each of your quote categories request forms as you wish. did you try that?

Jean-Mark I can agree that you can do a search and then get a list and then select some on the list to choose which one to make a request from.

With a simple generic form only but this is how Quote request works and you dont need to do that selection but a smart combination would be optimal. Pls try Quote request first and then get back with some analysis and proposals to improve it.

Yes, from the moment was released we tested this option, as we were waiting for such an add-on. We never took the add-on live, as we didn't find it professional enough.

Let me explain and give more details :-)

- The search is fine, but then we are missing the option to select companies for the quotation (as suggested in this thread)

- Please enter a location? We don't find very useful, but unable to disable

- Questions, maybe nice, but not needed for use

- Understand user registration and leave note

But, the pop-up forms are very 'childish', nice for mom&pop shop / B2C , not so for more b2b focus directory.

Miss also the options to create own forms, with own fields, option to upload attachements, etc.

Second, the back office functionality is not very light and not very flexible. (not no option to disable)

What I like to see:

- User can select listings to send a quote (and you can set a limit to selection) (Very important)

- Flexible forms and able to attach files

- Make it part of Package features (Request Quote Button on Listing and Multi request quote option).

- Able to not use follow/backoffice options

Thank you for your suggestions.
The quote requests is already part of the Packages features.
We will add the possibility to upload the attachments and also provide the possibility to select the businesses that receive the quote request.
