J-BusinessDirectory - mandatory address fields lists like region and city are empty

When adding a new event or offer the business address is usually set mandatory for fields like region and ciry.

As our usage of JBusinessDirektory is rather local a single proper region is set up as well as a number of cities.

But when trying to enter the address either through Google Maps or manually the fields for "region" and "city" do not show any of the set up entries. And as these fields are set to mandatory the total entry can not complete.
(This problem aroused with one of the latest updates of J-BusinessDirectory.)

Any idea what we can do about this (running JBusinessDirectory 5.06)?
