J-BusinessDirectory - New Update J-businessdirectory_4.5.5-no-pictures does contain pictures

Be careful installing the New Update J-businessdirectory_4.5.5-no-pictures

It does contain pictures and other content that may overwrite your present database.

I installed the modified files individually and so did not use the normal Joomla Install. There is a mysql file in the update which, if executed, might overwrite your present DB.

If I am incorrect, please comment on this topic.

The no pictures means that the demo pictures are not included in order to keep a lower file size. All the other pictures are included.
If an update is made on the database only the structure is changed and in some cases new content is added to make it visible for the users. The existing content of the database is not modified.

Whenever an update is issued, I update every modified file individually. So I do not have personal experience of using the normal Joomla update which means my understanding of how the update effects the database may be mistaken. However, if I understand your reply correctly, the no-pictures versions does contain example content that is entered into the website and database whenever a normal Joomla update is executed.

If this understanding is correct, I suggest that perhaps having two update versions might be warranted. One version would contain the example content and one would not.

This would avoid having to remove the content every time an update was executed.

If my understanding is incorrect, then this is likely a non-issue! ;)

I've noticed that the last few releases has had pictures located in \j-businessdirectory_4.5.5-no-pictures\media\pictures\categories. I've just deleted them from the ZIP before updated.
