J-BusinessDirectory - Next update release

In a previous forum post http://www.cmsjunkie.com/forum/claim-my-listing-button-appears-but-does-nothing.../?p=1, it was mentioned that the component would be updated the following week. This was several weeks ago. DO you have an idea when the next update will actually be released?

 

I'm asking because I must heavily customize the component, and don't really want my customizations overwritten.

 

Some examples of the necessary customizations are:

 

1. Remove many countries from the database, as I'm setting up the site for a company doing business exclusively in the USA.

 

2. Change the region field to state, for the same reason as noted above. I also need to figure out how to get this field to appear on the search result and individual company pages, as it doesn't appear there at the moment.

 

3. Remove the country field from the search results pages and individual company listings.

 

4. Change the search drop-down to the 'state' (formerly 'region') field. There are only 50 states (max.), listing each individual city in that field will eventually create a list that is too long to be useful to the end user.

 

5. Re-organize the list of features in the packages table. The way the packages are set-up, the green check marks and red x's appear randomly. The client wants the list to appear in order (based on package) so the addition of specific features is more intuitive to an interested buyer.

 

There are more customizations to mention, but I don't have time to list them all right now. Just mainly curious when the new update can be anticipated.

We had some delay from the previous term due to some new features that were introduced. Our estimation is that the new version will be released in 4-5 days.

Today.

Where can I download the updated version. I tried my downloadable products but its still showing the old version. When I DL it, its also still the old version.

+1 Still wating. I think the update gets emailed to you.

 

I understand that the update to 3.2 (and it's possible reversion because of TFA/pHp issues) must play hell on a development schedule. I'm sure the confusion created hampers the process.

 

That being said, my client didn't. We ended up pulling the component and moving to Sobi.

 

I'm still looking  forward to seeing the latest version of this component though. I think it has a ton of potential. It did many of the things Sobi can do, without all the script errors.

I understand that each update must be paid? Even if I bought a version a month ago and specific support for three months. In this case I made a big mistake.

Still have 5 days remaining on my 3 month subscription as well. Will the update be released before my support ends, or am I expected to pay again for the new updated version?

E-mail works. Receive daily emails. Maybe it was a problem but definitely now works perfectly. Waiting for a response from you. Thank you!
