We had a client looking to setup a site for people to submit memorials for their pets that had died. While it is a direcotry, it is not business at all. After looking at all the other directories none suited the needs. We also looked at all the CCKs but they were all lacking things we needed especially as I got left behind with html ver 1 and am certainly no programmer although I am fluent in the famous trial and error development methology which says looks for something that looks like it produces the output you want to change and try changing it and see what happens.
With careful setup, a lot of changes to the language file, some CSS changes and some changes to the listing and category view files using the trial and error method we have produced what they want.
"looks for something that looks like it produces the output you want to change and try changing it and see what happens"
Works for me. ;-)
Also, one technique I use when I want to get rid of something but don't feel like altering the core is to use rereplacer. You can use rereplacer to comment out html, add/remove inline css or even add whole sections of stuff.
Good job on Eternal Fur Baby. I just hope you charged the client enough because I can tell you put a lot of work into it.
Hey Design Boy
Thanks and thanks for the tip. Will take a look at rereplacer for the next one.
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
We will integrate more configuration possibilities in the 5.3.0 version. Each section will have its own permissions and you can enable/disable features on from that point.
That sounds great George
Although the client's idea is a bit difficult to implement, with your ability, wordle I believe everything will be completed well. getting over it
