J-BusinessDirectory - override administrator side

Support Forum

Hello,
I need to customize some "J-BusinessDirectory" parts using the override.
I have already set an override for the public side of the component and everything works.
I also tried to set an override for the admin side but I couldn't get it to work here.
In particular I would like to customize the part to edit the business listing.
To do this I copied "administrator/components/com_jbusinessdirectory/views/company/tmpl/edit.php" to
"administrator/templates/isis/html/com_jbusinessdirectory/company/edit.php", without getting the desired result.
Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

All seems to be OK on your override. Please make sure that the Isis template is the default template for Joomla admin.
Also please make sure that the override folder has the right permissions otherwise it cannot be read.

Thank you George,
in fact it is as you say, but surely something is wrong.
I don't understand why if I log in as an administrator the override works,
but if I log in as a (registered) user and want to modify the business listing, the override doesn't work.
What is the file that is called when the customer wants to modify the business listing?

Fabrizio

Hi,

You will need to apply also on override on the front-end in the template that you are using for the front-end.

A suggestion and last request.
In order to keep Jbusinessdirectory up-to-date with upcoming releases,
is it better to apply the override only for custom files or can I do it for all files of the extension?
Could you tell me which file is called when the client edits the business listing? I couldn't find it.
Thank you
fabrizio
