J-BusinessDirectory - Region / county

In our country we have 19 counties. I would like it to be possible to use this in search options so that the user can see all listings from a selected county. It should work just like the category/type dropdown in the search module.

I checked the Region field since i noticed this is also used in the search module. But when registrating a company the Region field is no dropdown. This means the user has to write the region name instead of selecting a pre-defined one.

So basically i want:

1. when adding a company i want the county to be added

2. when searching i want the user to be able to find all listings within a county

Any ideas how i can do this within this extension ?

The region field can be used as county. The county has to be entered manually for the moment.
The region field can be added on search module and also on business listing item menu item parameters.

I figured it could, but then people probably will enter the county differently and that will not be good when using search.

No dropdown i can use to this purpose ?

Currently there is no dropdown for selecting the county due to use of extension in multiple countries.
