J-BusinessDirectory - Reviews request/suggestion

A package option permitting the business owner to manage their reviews before publishing (in terms of their being able to accept or reject the publishing of them, rather than being able to edit them in any way) would be an extremely 'inducive' feature imo (for signing up).

Niche focussed businesses inevitably get highly negative and potentially libellous reviews removed from 3rd party platforms, using legal means and/or threats, and imo since the recent judgement against a TrustPilot review in the UK, it is likely that the 'style' of review is going to be changing anyway in the medium term. As in what happens in the UK tends to foreshadow what happens elsewhere.

Businesses don't mind having reviews which make moderate criticisms (particularly if they can reply on-site to them), as makes them seem real and open to improving things for subsequent clients/customers. Therefore, I feel the risk of a business keeping up only 5* reviews is minimised to a significant extent. Like on Amazon, reviews which are all 5* never seem quite real and believable.

Many directory sites aren't necessarily/primarily review sites, and it is expected on a paid directory site that reviews will be real, but supportive of a business.

Just, as above, the ability for a business listing owner to manage their reviews is an extremely potent feature to be able to offer - so I would ask that you consider it please.

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion.
I think the best way is to add an option in the general settings to enable/disable the possibility of business owners to manage reviews.

Oh thank you George, I'm feeling really chuffed about this, as is a great marketing feature imo.
