J-BusinessDirectory - Search by other fields

How do I set up the search module to search for other fields of a business listing?

I would like to be able to search by business name, business owner, or other fields in the listing.

Those opotions don't seem to be available in the search module options.

It is available. I suggest that you create an article named "Directory Search" or whatever. Embed the Directory Search module in the article. Create a menu item that is linked to that article. When a user clicks on "Directory Search" the search menu will appear and he or she can place the name of the company or person in the first column and results will be shown. Currently it is possible to add only custom fields besides the fields that are contained on search module.

Wow. That seems like an extreme limitation, and pretty much makes the extension unusable for my purpose.

A user can't search by Business Name?

I would like to be able to search by Business name, contact person, and town (city), but it looks like I am currently limited to town only?

I will have to look elsewhere if that is truly the case. Why are these other fields not searchable?

There keyword search is done after the fields you need but there is no dedicated search field for each of the fields that you require.
The keyword search is done after name, slogan, category name, short description phone, address, postal code, city, country.
