Hello again
Sorry to be such a pain but I'm learning quickly and should stop bugging you soon.
First only half of the list of business listing custom attributes are appearing in the front end. I have about 80 and ony 50ish are showing. Is there a limit to the custom attributes?
2nd I'm trying to create a directory by neighborhood instead of using regions. Can I make the custom attributes in the business listing section searchable?
Or can I modify the "Regions" to say Neighborhoods and change the options to my own options within the Reginons dropdown menu?
Thank you again
Sheff
Hi Jeff,
Don't worry, we're here to help.
1. Please make sure you've associated the attributes to the package. There is no limitation on the number of attributes displayed
2. You can make the custom attributes searchable in the Business Directory module settings(Backend->Main Menu->Extesions->modules)
You can also rename the Regions into Neighborhoods in the language file, which is available for edit in the Application Settings, Language tab.
Hi
Thanks for the response but can you tell me which of the modules to make the custom attributes searchable please. I don't know why but the custom attributes I set set up in the Business listings will not diisplay all of them. Although it shows the whole list where you add them it does not show them on the main attributes screen it only show the half that appears in the fron end?? I don't get it. Unfortunately I also can't find the language option either sorry. Can you please be a little more specific (be gentle with me) :)
Thank in advance again for your help
Ok so I got the language thing worked out now how can I add to or modify the "regions" list. How can I add my neighbourhoods to the region list
Hi,
1. Which of the modules to make the custom attributes searchable please?
The J-BusinessDirectory search module allows you to add the custom attributes on search.
2.Although it shows the whole list where you add them it does not show them on the main attributes screen it only show the half that appears in the fron end?
Can you please provide us an example?
3. The regions field is auto populated with the address fields from business listing entries.
.Although it shows the whole list where you add them it does not show them on the main attributes screen it only show the half that appears in the fron end?
Can you please provide us an example?
I have entered roughly 70-80 neighbourhoods in the custom attributes section of the business listings in the back end. When somebody registers the page they see for all their information only shows roughly half of the backend entries. The full list does not appear in the front end nor does it appear in the backend on the first page when you click custom attributes in the business listing section. It only show roughly half as well

I took a snapshot you can see here

Hello George
I seem to be having an issue when trying to make the custom attributes searchable. When I add the "Neighbourhoods" in the custom attributes section of the search module I get a full listing of all the neighbourhoods on the front page. Is there a way to have it searchable without appearing on the front page?
