I am writing to report an issue with the SEO performance of multi-day events on your platform.
When creating an event that spans multiple days, it appears that only the first day of the event is indexed correctly and thus displays in the Google carousel. However, the remaining days of the event do not appear in search results.
The current workaround, creating a separate event for each day, is quite cumbersome and inefficient. Moreover, it seems that my competitors are leveraging this workaround and thus outranking me in search results on the subsequent days of the event.
For example, I recently hosted a multi-day event and ranked number one for it on the first day. However, on the second and third days, my event did not appear in the search results, while my competitors' events (which were separated out by day) achieved the top ranking positions.
This issue is critically impacting my visibility and, consequently, the overall success of my events. I would greatly appreciate it if your team could investigate this issue and provide a more practical solution that ensures all days of a multi-day event are properly indexed and displayed in Google's search results.
We have applied some improvement on the 5.8.10 version.
Please us know if the issue is fixed.
Hi George I have been monitoring this issue now for quite some time, and I see what is going on.
Google is dropping the events carousel link from the structured data at midnight on the day of the event ever since the June 16 Patch.
What I have noticed as well on the back end in the administrator section the event shows Expired the day of the event. this should only occur the day after the event and thus is more than likely the cause for Google also dropping the event off the search engine pages as well.
Is this related to the time zone?
We originally thought it might have had something to do with the Booking close date and we were setting those for the next day to see if that helped but it didn't.
Additionally, these errors have been populating in Google Search Console however these fields are filled out on the event details.
