I need to separate the categories and subcategories on the edit and search forms, whereby upon a top level category being selected, the subcategories will appear in a separate form.
Ideally, I need three layers, but two will suffice.
The reason being I have about 4000 categories and subcategories that I need to import. Without seperation, the single category list will be too long.
Is this possible?
Hi,
Currently it is possible to separate categories only on business listing search module. You can set Separate categories to yes on search module settings.
For edit view the user can start typing the category instead of selecting it.
Thanks for your response, George.
I have sorted the search form out and it works great.
With the edit form, the problem I am having is I have a number of subcategories and sub-subcategories that duplicate. When a user searches, the root to that subcategory doesn't show up in the results. Therefore, it makes it very difficult to distinguish which subcategory to choose. For reference I am using BISAC codes, where subcategories repeat A LOT.
Can you suggest a way of including the root in the search results?
