I just installed the J Directory Extension and upon looking at the map I get this error. I have no Idea where to begin

Sorry! Something went wrong.

This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

Whether the problem is coming from the extension or javascript either way I do not know how to fix this. I already put my Google map key still I get this error.

Thank You!

Hi,

As of June 22, 2016 https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

You can now enter a key in the General Settings->Front end tab->Map Section->Google Map Key. (starting from directory version 4.5.1 RC)

After creating the browser key on your API Dashboard you need also to enable the services. You have to go to your API Manager overview screen and enable following service:

  • Google Maps JavaScript API
  • Google Static Maps API
  • Google Places API Web Service

Installed 4.5.2 and using Joomla 3.6. This is still not working. The 3 APIs are enabled, and I have made a specific key for use with the Business Directory so I can add URLs to it. But the map does not display. In the console there are errors (lots of errors) on the business details pages, most specifically this one: js?language=en-GB&key=AIzaSyCdrF3UytLWotzMCIJKzw6UnN6pBLsytls:95 You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.$g @ js?language=en-GB&key=AIzaSyCdrF3UytLWotzMCIJKzw6UnN6pBLsytls:95 js?language=en-GB&key=AIzaSyCdrF3UytLWotzMCIJKzw6UnN6pBLsytls:34 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'undefined_changed' of undefined http://www.grandnetworkers.com/members/companies/34

Hi,

Please create a ticket with our store and send us the Joomla login. We'll look into it.

Hi - i too had the same issues by going to the standard api url location in the faqs

however what i found was that it is infact this page

https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#key

click get key, slect the relevant account and google produces a key from there. - add this key and thats it working

To confirm, i didn't activate the 3 apis as stated in the faqs

hiope this helps
