J-BusinessDirectory - Trying to sort out how expiration works

Support Forum

I'm working on a client site that was using an old version of JBusiness Directory. I've cloned it to my server and upgraded it to 4.8.6, but all the listings that were paid buy expired are throwing a "The business listing is not active anymore." message.

When a package expires, and there's a free package available, it's supposed to drop to the free package correct? It's possible that feature wasn't in the old version we had so they all got left on paid on the old site (and in fact were all still visible even though they'd expired).

Also, is there a way to have an order generated at 10 days out, and then notify the user that their package is expiring? And then notify them again at 3 days out, then when it expires, roll it to the free package.

I'm just trying to figure out specifically what's available and what might have to be custom programmed.

thanks!

Hi,

You are right. If there are some free packages defined the listings will be transferred to free packages when their paid package expires.
Starting with version 4.8.0 we have introduced packages types to allow more flexibility.
Please set your free package to type lifetime.

Hi,

This is how i see the notification system:

Where is this screen? I've dug through every setting screen I can find, and I can't find these settings.

Thanks!

I'm sorry if i mislead you. It's a wish :) So i'll correct myself:

This is how i see in the future the notification system :)
