J-BusinessDirectory - Update not working

I installed the j-konnect-quickstart. Then I updated Joomla to 3.9.20 via the web updater. Then I noticed that the J-BusinessDirectory was 5.0.2. I then tried to update J-BusinessDirectory by installing j-businessdirectory_5.4.4. That did not work. The J-BusinessDirectory is still 5.0.2.

So the j-konnect-quickstart doesnt have the latest JBD version?

Have you cleared all caches and also look at all the xml files in the directories what versions it have?

and first in JBD backend "General settings" click on "Fix database"

Have you tried JBD 5.4.5 ?

All quickstarts contain version 5.4.4 at the moment.
The issue that you experience is usually caused by a cache mechanism outside of Joomla CMS or by some backup extensions.
