Hi Folks
Suggestion :When you release a new update, could you document these changes in the documentation centre. For example you have just released version 4.7.0 BETA but the documentation is for 4.6.
What i would suggest is you have a separate page where you show the latest features in detail in the documentation, then when you release an newer version, these are moved into the main documentation area. Or you could just add it to the main area before its released, either way would be good.Kind RegardsScott
Hi,
When a new version is released the release notes are published on http://www.cmsjunkie.com/blog/cat/news-joomla-business-directory/ and a user manual for the version is available on your store account.
The online documentation is not updated right after beta release because it is not used by many. The online documentation is usually release when a RC (release candidate) version is released.
I would have an additional question: Is it possible to show which files have been altered in the updated? For me - I have a lot of template overrides and maybe I get conflicts that I dont even recognize....
Hi,
You can easily check the files that have been updated by using a file comparation tool like Total Commander.
You can extract the files from the versions into 2 separate directories and compare the files. You can easily track the changes in this way.
