J-BusinessDirectory - user groups

Support Forum

Hi,

In my site i have a kuena forum in addition to the jbusinessdirectory.

For users that have bought a package they will see the control panel (com_jbusinessdirectory » useroptions)

And here is the part i have trouble with. When a user is registrated in the kuena forum they will also see this control panel even if they have not bought a package. They have just registered for the forum.

I would like the forum users to be able to see the kuena user module with options,  and not the control panel for jbusinessdirectory. And also i dont want the package buyers to see the kuena user module, just the controlpanel from jbusinessdir.

I am thinking maybe the way to solve this is that the package buyers automatically are set to a user group other than registered? I can figure out how to do this, or if it is possible.

Can you please tell me whats the best way to difference between these two logins and how to achieve it ?

Thank you :)

Hi,

Since version 4.3.2 we provide the possibility to set front-end ACL.
You can set the permissions for groups in the administartion of Joomla. Please also set Front-end ACL to yes in the general settings of extension.

Hi George,

I am not sure i understand.

I see where to set the front end ACL to yes. But i am not sure what you mean i should do with the group permissions?

Users that are registrated using kuena are in the registrated status, and so are the jdir users. How do i make the users from jdir be connected to a selected group ?

Will you please explaine a bit more?

Hi,

The registration process is not controlled by directory extension. The registration is controlled by Joomla. By default when a user register on your site it is automatically assigned to Registered user group.
You will need a 3rd party extension to allow the selection of a specific group when registering.

Hi,

Is there any way or trick to let unregistered users getting coupons?

Thank you

Hi,

The registration is required to prevent the use of multiple coupons for the same user.
If there is no restriction a user can request all coupons.

Thank you for your answer. Registered users can get mutliple coupons too so they can request all coupons, or is there an option to avoid this?
Thank you

Hi,

The only way to achieve your requirements is to separate the users in different groups and assign them different permissions.
On directory extension we allow to set different access permissions. Also on general settings you can set the user group that will be used when a user is created after choosing a package.

I'm interest too
