Hi
I like the Request Quote feature for each business listing and just wonder how it works bcs I tested it and could not get any email or data from it when doing a request on that business listing page.
When I do a Request for quote and got a popup form and fill in the data there to get a quote send it it the email and data dissappear where?
I can not find it in the backend or anywhere for that business listings messages "listing messages, event messages, offers messages" and/or business listing owner... its just send up in the space? :)
Where does these request for quote goes and how does it work?
As I would like it to be sent to that business owner bcs you are at his page when doing the request.
(That doesn’t exclude take away that this also could be useful in general to send a request for quote to many service provider so they get that message for a specific request i f working well and with good set up.)
I go to this page and see red Request Quote button http://demo.cmsjunkie.com/j-businessdirectory/directory/j-network/directory/listings/list-view-style-6?categorySearch=13 but nothing happens if you click on it and I cant see how this work in backend too http://demo.cmsjunkie.com/j-businessdirectory/directory/j-network/administrator/index.php
Info documentation it explain what it is though https://cmsjunkie.com/docs/jbusinessdirectory/directoryapps.html#business-owners-section
So seems not to be ready yet so I will wait and test this until it working but its really great if this could work in future :)
Hi
I´d like this working to.
But I have another question to add. What about this "Category" dropdown list? What is the purpose of that?
For me it makes no sense, should it not be something like "Subject" or similar?
@ Stephen
Yes for me this is strange too but you can have have 2 different request options working togheter too for quotes - that is good if its working!
1. Request quote just for the listing you are at when browsing coming to that listing you request a quote for that listing/offer/event etc and that is going directly to one listing owner there for that listing. LIke you have the text link now in listing page.
2. Another type of Request for quote if you are doing that in "general" and request a quote from listings owner that belong to a certain listing category example a Offer category and you would like to have a quote for listing providers of type offers type xxx, from city xxx and then send a request for qoute to them.
Then this quote goes out for these listings providers that can compete from the requesters wishes. The settings in backend is that you can control how many request that can max be sent like xx sent quotes etc etc
You can then get money per quote sent xxx/dollars value per sent quote and also fine tune that for different categories.
I have more to add how a system like this work but you can think of Google deliver a search first and if click on the link you get paid --> a lead/quote that has a xxx value.
@ ssnobben
Thank you for this explaination. I can now see the use of the second one, the "General" request.
And I agree, this could be useful if it can work like this.
One request for the listing you are visisting and one general request for a certain category.
I just saw your #1, request for the listing you are visiting.
Regards
Stephen
