J-BusinessDirectory - Control panel error

When I try to open the listings Control Panel in the front end, I get an error saying there are too many redirects.  It worked until recently.  Not sure when it broke, but might have been after the most recent version of Joomla.  Has anyone else had that problem?

Nope. Have you tried to resave the menu to the control panel menu?

I had a 500 error. I turned off the *JBusinessDirectory Business Finder* plugin and the error disappeared.

Try it for yourself. If this problem disappears, update the plugins, they now go separately from the component.

Have you updated your php version lately from php 7.2 to 7.3 or php 7.4?

in my project 7.4.3 php

Hi,

The error is usually caused by a wrong htaccess configuration or by a SEF extension.
Try to change your Joomla SEF settings and restore the default .htaccess and see how it goes.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.  I did attempt all of them, it hasn't worked yet.

- Made a whole new menu

- The plugin wasn't enabled

- php was set to 7.3.  I set it back to 7.2

- my hosting company restored an older .htacess file.  What should the SEF settings be?

Working with my hosting company now to see if they can figure it out.

Hi,

The issue was caused by setting Front-end ACL to yes and having the permissions not correctly set.
We will also try to implement a mechanism to avoid this in the future.

Thanks George.  Once again, I appreciate the fast response when I submitted the support ticket.  You guys are awesome!
