Hi,

I just purchased your product and I can't seem to replicate some of the functionality shown on the sales page and in the demo.

 

The component installed properly on a fresh install of Joomla 3.1.5. I spent some time working with the modules and menu items included in the component. Everything seemds to be working ok, but I can't seem to get several important things figured out.

 

First, I can't seem to figure out how to allow someone to purchase a package. On the sales page, there's a table layout with all of the packages and associated features with a 'Select Package' button under each option. I can't seem to find this anywhere in the back end. Regardless, I'm a little confused as to how someone would actually purchase a listing for a specific package in the directory.

 

Second, I can't seem to figure out how to create a listing that someone can 'claim'. I'd like to pre-populate the directory with companies at the basic level and then have them 'claim' their listing and upgrade to a paying plan. I was planning to enter the company information in the front-end, but I'm not married to that idea.

 

I've read through the documentation and support forum, but don't see these issues addressed anywhere. I think that once I understand how an end user will purchase a particular package, I'll be on my way.

 

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

I've sorted out one of the issues in the above post. It seems that there was a disconnect in the sense that I didn't realize that the user has to be registered in order to simply see the packages that are available to purchase. At least initially.

 

Once I realized that, I took the url and made it an 'external link' menu item. I added the following to the end of my url and now I can show the available packages:

 

?view=packages

 

So you can consider that one solved. IMHO, there should be a more elegant way to access that page but I understand that (as with all software development) that this is a work in progress. Maybe it's something to think about for a future release.

 

I still haven't worked out all of the detail fo rthe 'claim your listing' workflow yet. I guess I'll have to spend some time working with the component and see if I can figure it out. If you  have any insight on how this part of the process works, I'd appreciate it.

Hi,

Packages are displayed to user when creating a new business listing. Once the user registers and login he can access the control panel of directory extension. When click on create new listing button the available packages will be displayed.

We will optimize this in the next version that will be out in 2-3 weeks.

In order to claim a company an user must be registered, otherwise a message should appear (if there are not css conflicts). By clicking the claim button the user has to fill in a form and send the request to administrator. The business listing will be available for editing only after administrators approves the claim.
