I suggest you the JCHOptmize Plugin, is a good choice (and have a free plan). I use it in my website
I also use system plugins like JCH Optimze the pro version too and JOT cache plus + webserver cache and http2 Server Push +XT Adaptive Images Pro + DJ Web. And latest SP Pagebuilder Pro with support for WebP
All working well and good with latest Joomla and JBD but its a lot of settings :)

ssnobben did using JotCache and DJWeb allow you to have Jbusiness pages serve up webp images? I've seen a few things on using a few combinations and trying to figure out how to get JBusiness listings to show webp images since it won't let you load it into a listing directly.
