J-BusinessDirectory - categories question. Disable and how many subs

I am curious why when I uncheck a category (this should disable it) why does it still show in the front end. i unchecked all subs also and the categories I unchecked still show. I even tried clearing browser to see if cache was holding it but still the same thing.

How many sub categories can I show. I see there is 4 levels but I tried puting more in and they did not show. Does system not show categories that do not have a business attached to them.

If you uncheck a category it should be hidden from all places. Can you mention where do you encountered the problem?

You have categories on 4 levels. The system shown only the categories that have more than one business assiged on search filter.

For example I went and unchecked the automotive section on all categories within it. Went to my site and refreshed browser. I hit categories on the search and they were still present. They were showing.

Does it matter if i have a company using any of the categories. If i have a business using one of the categories and I uncheck, that business will not show in the category.

I am working on local host for now, so if there is no quick fix I will visit this when I am live and you will be able to get into site.
