J-BusinessDirectory - How to renew a listing after it's expired?

Support Forum

If a business lets their listing expire and later wants to "re-join" how do they do that? They still have a member account and the old listings still appear in their control panel but I don't see a way to pay for and reactivate their listing from the front or back end.

The only work around I've come up with is to manually change the date on their previous order, but then there isn't a record of previous payments. The option for a new order would be nice.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

When a business listing expired in the edit mode of the extension there is a Extend period link. This will create a new order.

Since verion 4.2.0 we have improved this and add a new button, Extend period, on business listing list in the control panel of the business owner.

Unfortunately I don't have a "Extend Period" link or button in either the fornt or back end in an expired listing. That link only appears in an active listing. I am using version 4.1.1 -- I have tried to upgrade to 4.2.0 but nothing happens when I try the updater.

Hi,

The update issue is caused by an upload limitation. You can increase the post size and upload size to at least 15M or use no-media archive which is smaller and does not contain the pictures.

I have increased my post and upload size via php.ini as well as increasing the upload size in the Joomla media manager, but still no option to update. Just a message saying that there are no updates available. Do I need to increase it a different way -- maybe within the component itself?

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. The latest version is not available yet on automatic udpates.

You can download the latest version from your store account.

Thank you. I downloaded the update from my account and installed it. I now have the "Extend period" link available in expired listings. Thanks for your help! Laughing
