J-BusinessDirectory - Importing via CSV - need some assistance

I have just attempted to upload some data via CSV. Most of the data uploads and displays successfully - and a lot doesn’t. I have copied the CSV fields exactly as shown in the jBusinessDirectory User Manual. Frankly, some of it doesn’t make a lot of sense, and populating those fields as I have has not produced the result that I need.

Categories and Subcategories

I’ll start with what doesn’t make any sense to me. There are three fields that appear to be related to categories / subcategories. They are; Categories, Subcategories and Type. It doesn’t seem to matter how I populate these fields in the CSV, the ONLY part I can get to import successfully to the listing is “Business Type”. In the “Business Categories” section of the listing neither the “Selected Categories” nor “Main Category” fields are populated – incorrectly or otherwise – just nothing. What am I doing incorrectly here, and how do I resolve it?

Business Details

The “Address: and “County” fields do not import successfully. The “City” and “Postal code” fields import without issue. How do I resolve this?

Business Contact information

The “Email” field imports successfully. The Telephone number, Mobile number, and Fax number fields do not import successfully. How do I resolve this?

Hi - just curious if you ever got an answer to your question about the categories.  I'm confused about the same thing - why there are categories and types

Type represent the type of the business : Service Provider, Manufacturer/producer, Retailer,...

The category represent the domain where the business listing is active.
