J-BusinessDirectory - Language related questions

Dear all,

I'm aware how to create multi-language site, but have still some questions/challenges:

- JBD is showing tabs with different language, for example, English and french.

The user (prefers French) is filling the listing information and saves the listing. The listing isn't correct, as no company name mentioned in 'English' part, so is saving date/time as alias.    Very confusing..

- I think need improvement. At least if English Company Name = Empty use Company Name used language

- Als the addtional tabs, if user only wants to use one language, why showing all the languages the site offers?

If I'm correct, system emails are only send in one language? Pls advise if this is correct? If not, how to send in diffent language

Hi,

If multilingual content is enabled the user will see all available languages but he has to enter at least the content for the default language of the website. The other language's content is optional.
For admin, the validation has been disabled in order for admin to enter only some partial information for the business listing. Most probably you are creating the new listing from admin and you are not completing the info for the default language.

The emails can be translated into multiple languages. The language of the email will be the default language of the website.

Please find our answers below.

The default language of the website is mandatory for each item and the alias should be generated based on that. What version are you using to check this?

2. Als the addtional tabs, if user only wants to use one language, why showing all the languages the site offers?

The user can choose to complete only the default language for the website. He can ignore the others.
We will improve this and make the default selected tab to reflect the default language of the website.

Curently, the emails are being sent in the website language.
