J-BusinessDirectory - Linked Listings? Any Clue?

Who has any idea what the purpose of Linked Listing is?

And if not in use, why is the option available for user at Dashboard / Control Panel?

Linked Listings

The linked listings functionality provides the possibility for listings to be registered based on their type.

In the general settings of the extension, there is the “Listing type allowed for register”, where the site administrator can add the listings allowed types. On the details view of the listings, which belong to the selected types, the Join/Leave button will be shown. This listing can join or leave other listings that belong to the same logged in user. If the user is not logged in first, it will be required to log in or register in order to join other listings.

I also a bit confused about this "linked listings" but I think/guess one example it can be used if you have one main listings and for example sub companies/departments where you want to show case these listings for the same main company.

Maybe I am wrong and I also have to check these more what the purpose and real use for it. :) pls update if you have more findings ..thks

The purpose of this feature is to link businesses with each other.
For example, you have a listing of type agency and a listing of type consultant. (an agency can have multiple consultants).
As a consultant, you can link yourself to the agency.
