I was wondering if I make a subscription package for an intro offer and use it for a short period of time, can I make it inactive and the subscribers that went with that package will they still be able to get into their account and will the system still let them know when thier package is about to expire.

for example: i have a package x and offer all amenities with it for a period of 30 days allowing the subsciber to have 6 months of access for a special price. At the end of my thirty day special I inactivate the package, will those subscribers be able to coninue on with their postings and at the end of the 6 months the system will alert them that they need to re-subscribe to continue.

I am asking this because I had a payment system with packages like this and if I made them inactive then the customer systems would not work. so I was unable to make short term specials to enice new customers.

I have tested my theory and cannot find a way to put in a promo offer for a special price and stop the promo offer. If I stop the promo offer, the companies that were on thqat package do not show up. I am working with the sample companies that came with the package.

I even tried the free package and then moved it to a paid one hoping that when I set the companies in free even if I switched to paid the system would think they are already signed up and operating that it would keep them in.

Is there a way around this so I am able to run a short promotion???

The best solution is to have a trial period on packages. In the trial period they can have their business listing for free but after the trial version expires they will be transferred to a free package(automatically) or they will have to pay for the package.
