I use  J-HotelReservation and i've an issue with the frontend availability calendar.

This is my configuration :

Joomla : 3.5.0
J-HotelReservation :  5.5.3

I configured my rooms like this :

Rates : Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday at 0 ; Saturday at 2190
Minimum days : 6

So you can only book a room by week.

When I make a reservation eg. : from 05-07-2016 to 05-14-2016, in my backend i've my reservation from 05-07-2016 to 05-13-2016

But in my frontend availability calendar show "not available" from 05-02-2016 to 05-13-2016

When I change the "minimum days" to 1, my frontend availability calendar show "not available" from 05-07-2016 to 05-13-2016 (so it's ok)

It seem's that the frontend availability calendar take the first day of reservation and show "not available" 6 days BEFORE.

By the way, even if my frontend availability calendar show from 05-02-2016 to 05-13-2016 not available, i can make a reservation from 04-30-2016 to 05-07-2016, because it's available !

e.g :

Reservation from 05-07-2016 to 05-13-2016 with minimum days at 6

Reservation from 05-07-2016 to 05-13-2016 with minimum days at 1

When you book for multiple days the availability calendar displays as available only those days from which you can start your reservation considering the number of days booked. This is because the calendar days are clickable.

To answer your question: each day in the calendar is checked to see if it's available for booking,  considering the number of days to book. If you have a mimum of 6 days then a period of 6 days is checked to see if it's available for booking for each of the days in the calendar. The check is made only for the days to follow, so you would have day X+6. 

Please let us know if it's clear enough. 

When you try to book a room for more than 9 days a calendar on the front-end shows are available for booking no more than 9 days, for example:

Rooms are available from Thursday 1 September, 2016 to Friday, 30 September, 2016
The calendar shows available only on 01.09.2016 09.09.2016 
It also displays the other months of the year.
The user expects to see all available selected dates, if they are not busy with another book. In this case, the other armored.

The Calendar is calculating availability based on the number of days booked. The days marked as available are the one from which you can start the reservation.

This seems to be confusing for some of the hotel user hence we'll introduce a new settings that allows you to change the way availability is displayed in the calendar. We'll do this in our next major release or sooner.
