J-BusinessDirectory - How customers can upgrade from Free to Paid

Support Forum

I am finishing a build in which some test cases were assigned by the administrator (me) to the free package. When I assign to a test registrant (alt-me) and click upgrade, I get mystifying messages like "Status: must be paid" and some argle bargle about the front end (even though alt-me is already logged into the front end). I'm expecting the $29 Stripe Subscriptions plugin to pop open instead.

Wrong webhooks? My IQ is too low?

My IQ is too low. : )

When I add a 'manage business listings' page there, is the pay button.

Hi,

The Stripe plugin is a payment method. It will be shown when the user will reach the payment screen.

I'm not using the usual routing - at least for now. I am requiring any claimants to reach me via contact form so I can verify they are really the owners, not Macedonian teenagers. By getting outside your workflow, I created a little extra work for myself but mira! I got it working.

Thanks to your tech team in helping me out with the customizations I needed as well. I really like the result, designed to support some area full-service restaurateurs suddenly reduced to takeout and delivery. goodtakeoutfood.com

well done good people. now stay healthy and safe - I'll need you for more.

Looking good.

Q: How did you get "REVIEWS FROM YELP" integreated?

Can you mix that with your own reviews too?

Hi, Ora P.

I paid the CMSJ devs a fee to integrate the Yelp API. (Hint, CMSJ team: you could probably sell this as a plugin!)

I removed the user-generated reviews function via CSS, but yes, it appears the standard JBD add-a-review feature remains fully functional, and Reviews needs to be enabled in the back end for the Yelp feature to work. (Me? I don't want to police reviews, so I prefer letting the Yelp system provide that service. That way I am not contributing to the entropic forces unraveling the internet.)

hmmm a problem in the backend is that you cant as an admin update a business listing from one package to another you get error of

"Message

Package features will be available on front-end only when the order associated with the package is paid."

****  You should be able to do a similar manual upgrade as admin in backend

The Yelp plg could be interesting also.

I have a problem jBD 5.4.1 rc when doing a manual update from reg user standard to a premium with more features for that packages that features update is not working the user still have the same package features though and that must be a bug.

I did that upgrade manually from backend and dont know if that have some effect making the packages update more features not work/update ?

Anyone have this problem too?

I have the same, but not sure if was always the case....

Is triggering automatic invoice and msut be set to paid.

There is some strange behavior, if amount in subscription is set to 0.00, the overview is showing 0.00

Listing owner will also see 0.00, but when opening invoice is showing full amount.

So thats not good if the amount is 0 and the invoice is full amount that seriouos problem :)

Yep, when I was testing, upgraded listing to paid package. Received same remark as yours... Went to subscription an set amount to 0.00, all is showing 0.00, except invoice....
