Meta Description in Show Packages

I added a meta description in the menu item showing packages.

"View Page Source" does not show any description.

...critical for good SEO...

Why/How?

The meta description from the menu item should be automatically added by Joomls. Does the issue persists for you?

The meta description in the menu is not being added.

Using version: 5.8.9

On the menu item settings, please make sure that enforce metadata is set to yes to override the JBD metadata.
