J-BusinessDirectory - Modify Contact Person Form

Is there a way to modify the Contact Person Information so that some fields are not required on the form, i.e. Department.  I've only found how to make the contact person mandatory, optional, or not shown but that seems to control all fields in the Contact form.

I had the same issue and got at tip from within here to use the ReReplacer  (from Regular Labs) to hide the field. It works perfect. 

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into that.  It seems like there should be some way to solve problems with one extension that doesn't require getting another one...

You can change the code or 

Quickfix is to make quick change in language file, to indicate users is optional:

LNG_DEPARTMENT="Department"  ->

LNG_DEPARTMENT="Department (Optional)

so user can leave blank

Thanks.  Changing the label won't change the optional/mandatory status, will it?  I am not a programmer, don't want to mess with the code.  I was just hoping that somewhere there was a way in the extension settings to modify the field, like in the attributes.

For the contact details section, all fields are connected to one setting at the moment. You can either make them mandatory or optional.
We will try to improve this in the near future.

Yes it would be nice to have some more fields for the business users contacts in future with some search options for users..there is a Joomla SaaS app integrated with Salesforce have some nice features ie ; Youtube video info
